Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center , brings expanded services to a new building located at 6223 Sharlands Ave.
in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer adult behavioral health services.
The adult behavioral health services offered is an expansion to our current 50 and older program at NNMC. The new program will offer behavioral health services to all adults 18 years and older.
The department is managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists.
Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.

This Registered Nurse opportunity is part time @ 24 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule.
We are looking for a dynamic Adult P sych Unit Registered Nurse (RN) that will help provide safe and compassionate care to our patients in the medical / telemetry environment.
The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment
- constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
- Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educationa, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.

Qualifications
- Current NV RN or NV LPN License
- Current BLS certificate
- One year full time or three years part time experience in an psychiatric setting preferred
