Technical Project Manager

Position Overview : We seek a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our Managed Service Provider (MSP) team.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and project management skills to oversee the implementation of technology systems during the construction of new builds and renovation projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in low voltage design, wireless network design, security camera systems, and managing relationships with construction teams and architects.

Additionally, experience in cloud computing, servers, network infrastructure, security, and voice technologies is essential.

Key Responsibilities : Technology Implementation in Construction Projects : Lead the design, planning, and implementation of technology systems in new construction and renovation projects.

Manage the installation of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, audiovisual systems, and access control. Oversee the design and deployment of wireless networks and security camera systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Coordinate with construction teams, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate technology solutions seamlessly into building designs.

Project Management : Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for technology implementation in construction projects.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting quality standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology implementation during construction phases.

Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary point of contact between the technology teams and construction / architectural teams.

Facilitate regular meetings with clients, construction teams, and other stakeholders to review project progress and address any issues.

Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships to ensure satisfaction with the delivered technology solutions.

Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance to project teams, ensuring the correct implementation of technology solutions.

Ensure that all technology systems are designed and installed following best practices and industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the construction and implementation phases.

Additional Technology Project Management : Manage technology projects related to cloud services, servers, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and voice systems.

Ensure the integration of these technologies into the overall IT strategy of the client, considering both current needs and future scalability.

Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on technology implementation in construction or renovation projects.

Proven experience in low voltage design, wireless network design, security camera systems, and IT infrastructure. Strong understanding of cloud computing, server management, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and voice technologies.

Excellent project management skills, including experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. Preferred Skills : Experience working with construction and architectural teams on large-scale projects.

Technical certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS) are a plus. Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or other project management frameworks.
