Responsibilities of a Unit Manager :
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned unit, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor and assess the care provided to residents, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to promote professional development and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to resident care or staff performance promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications of a Unit Manager :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid RN license in NJ
- Previous LTC / SNF experience preferred
