Our client seeks a candidate withexperience in promotional medical communications to serve asProgram Director on their Client Services team in Chicago IL.

Thisposition requires working four days in the office with theflexibility to work from home on Fridays.

Role Overview :

The Program Director is responsible for planningcoordinating and managing daytoday tasks associated with completingand delivering multiple client projects.

Candidates should haveexperience in program / project management specific to medicalcommunications within the pharmaceutical or biotechnologyenvironment.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Quality Control : Reviews and evaluates all projectrelated deliverables and processes(e.g. editorial logistics art production) at key stages duringdevelopment to ensure that objectives are achieved and qualitycontrol is maintained.
  • BusinessMaintenance : Responsible for maintenance and renewalof ongoing assignedbusiness.
  • TeamLeadership : Leads crossfunctional teams in theontime onbudget and onstrategy delivery of promotional medicaleducation projects and programs such as slide kits broadcasts web& audio conferences advisory boards speaker trainingmeetings videos etc.
  • ProposalDevelopment : Develop project proposals and budgetsfor assigned clients. Presents proposals asneeded.
  • FinancialManagement : Manages processes and employs financialcontrols to achieve financial targets. Oversees budget developmentimplementation / monitoring and final programreconciliation.
  • AccountExpertise : Serves as the principal overall accountexpert for the team. Ensures understanding of and compliance withestablished standards policies and procedures among teammembers.
  • ClientRelationships : Establishes maintains and supportsstrong client and KOL relationships by understanding the clientsbusiness and strategy.
  • StrategicDevelopment : Responsible with EVP for developingaccount strategies andplans.
  • StaffSupervision : Supervises assigned staff and conductsperformance planning andappraisals.
  • Travel : Some travel required.

Requirements :

  • BA or BS degree orgreater.
  • Management experience with apharmaceutical company or project / account management experience ina healthcare marketing or pharmaceutical medical communicationsagency environment.
  • Experience in multipletherapeutic disease categories.
  • Strongleadership and organizational skills including the ability toprioritize and multitask.
  • Proficient in WordPowerPoint and Excel and able to quickly learn database softwareapplications.
