Position Summary :

The Counter Sales Representative assists customers at the will call counter by accurately entering orders, gathering material, and helping load the customer’s vehicle.

You are expected to promote our complete line of products and increase company sales by developing strong customer relationships, resolving customer issues, and supporting marketing initiatives.

You will be using technical knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings to assist at the Will Call counter. The Counter Sales Representative provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.

Essential Functions :

• Makes product recommendations and assists customers with PVF products.
• Troubleshoots applications.
• Utilizes Cloud Suite Distribution (CSD) system for all sales and return functions.
• Monitors reports to manage open orders and follow up to close them.
• May prepare routine reports, and file sales records.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and / or forklift in locating supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine.
• Loads and packs products onto customer vehicles.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and continuous quality improvement objectives.
• Operates fabrication equipment as needed.
• Adheres to all Company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Experience using a Warehouse Software system (TWL or CSD preferred).
• Requires strong knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
• Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
• Requires a positive attitude and ability to function both independently and in a team setting.
• Must possess mathematical aptitude.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to communicate in English regarding the essential functions of the position.

Required Experience and Education :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous SX Enterprise experience preferred.
• Point of sale computer experience preferred.
• Prior forklift experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Demands :

• Must be able to lift, carry, push and / or pull 25 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
