We are actively interviewing for a dedicated and experienced 1 : 1 Registered Nurse to join our team for the upcoming school year in Waltham, Massachusetts.
This is a full-time, school-based role, and we are seeking qualified professionals who are committed to providing exceptional 1 : 1 care to students, particularly those with special education needs and their families.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, support staff, and parents to address the health needs of students.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health issues and provide appropriate interventions.
- Monitor and manage students' health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention and management.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on health-related accommodations and services.
- Maintain a clean and organized health office, ensuring all medical supplies are stocked and equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements :
- Must meet all local and state requirements for a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- Valid Massachusetts RN license.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Proven experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
