ResponsibilitiesPalo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses.

PVBH is an 84 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency.

Situated in Tucson, AZ, at the base of the Catalina Foothills, PVBH is minutes to Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona.

The Intake & Admissions Department is seeking to hire qualified nurses to work day shifts. Day shift schedule is 7a-7p.The Intake & Assessment Nurse provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients to determine appropriate level of care through the admission process.

Current licensure as a Registered nurse thorough the State of Arizona.Experience : Clinical experience in a psychiatric setting and / or prior intake and admissions experience preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Must be certified in CPR upon hire and bi-annually thereafter and must possess or obtain and be able to perform Handle With Care within 30 days of hire and re-certify as needed.

Must complete all required mandatory in-services annually. Must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain.
