Manager, Loan Operations (Hybrid--Richmond, VA)

Description

The Manager of Loan Operations is responsible for operations including but not limited to : Centralized funding, Boarding, Syndications / Participations / Swaps, Equipment Leasing, SBA, Post-closing Review, Payment Processing, Loan Pledging, Escrow, Account Maintenance, Collateral, Insurance / Flood Tracking, Credit Bureau Disputes, Document Management.

This role is responsible for consumer & commercial loan support; managing loan document preparation and servicing, and ensuring an efficient workflow process.

The Manager will provide direction, support, training, and backup to teammates, as needed.

Position Accountabilities

• Drive optimal teammate performance and develop coaching strategies consistent with the bank's counseling guidelines
• Develop and maintain KPIs to evaluate production, risk evaluation, and SLA adherence
• Hire, train, and motive staff to achieve production goals
• Demonstrate team-building skills by example
• Provides support for problem solving, process improvement, and skill development
• Prepare teammates to answer and assist internal and external customers and serve as a resource for escalated customer issues and questions
• Develop and enhance procedures when necessary and as appropriate
• Instructs personnel regularly regarding policies and procedures, ensuring teammates are informed of changes
• Develop and conduct quality assurance audits to ensure departmental procedures are achieving the desired results
• Interact with auditors, compliance teammates and examiners to assist with bank reviews and examinations
• Address and correct all issues identified in audits and examinations; ensure necessary changes and recommendations are incorporated into procedures and implemented as directed
• Prepare internal reports as assigned and when requested by management
• Attend required meetings and functions as needed
• Collaborate with other Loan Operations managers to ensure partnership between functional teams
• Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Director - Loan Operations

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Undergraduate Degree Preferred or Equivalent Required
• Minimum of 7 years of business loan processing and document preparation experience
• Minimum of 7 years of supervisory or management experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to learn bank software programs
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
• Possess extensive and current knowledge of all operational duties and procedures, with proven ability to explain the purpose behind the process
• Ability to organize work load

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Effective execution of project task and create test plans

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.

This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
