Purpose

Main Responsibilities

  • Provides scientific input and review of global scientific communications materials
  • Contribute to, implement and communicate global strategic planning activities
  • Lead global medical training
  • Reviewing training materials and delivering training to global affiliates as per annual training plan co-developed with sci comms.
  • Develop objection handlers
  • Global congress support / attendance
  • Support global KOL engagement (advisory boards, global congress, symposia, specialist meetings)
  • Support medical information with SRL / CRL review, external and internal data or info requests
  • Medical Review for Global Medical Materials such as medical narratives and Q&As
  • Provide medical support to affiliates, communicate plans and update on progress; and ensure alignment of local activities with global strategy
  • Work toward becoming subject matter expert in Fabry disease / product clinical data and increasing responsibility to support data generation activities and eventual medical lead for integrated data generation plan
  • Review global IIS / IIT
  • Support Global Patient advocacy initiative (eg roundtables)
  • Support Global Medical Education initiatives (concept, review etc)
  • Global observational study support
  • Provide medical expertise and review of global HEOR materials
  • Increasing responsibility / Transition into :
  • Represent medical at product core team and cross-functional integrated brand planning meetings
  • Medical reviewer at the Scientific Research Committee
  • Scientific input into publication strategy
  • Leads medical matrix meetings and insight collection / interpretation.
  • Cross-functional point of escalation for deliverables requiring medical review

Experience Required

4 years prior medical affairs experience required, can include 2 years field medical experience. Background in rare disease preferable, background in immunology a plus but not required.

Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in and experience with post-marketing studies and data generation.

Education

PhD or MD Preferred, PharmD will be considered.
