The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Manager 2, Reporting and Analytics in the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section.
A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting.
The successful candidate will provide expertise and support for multiple survey and mixed methods projects and will supervise a minimum of 2 staff.
Successful candidates in this position are expected to independently perform highly complex research tasks, train and review the work of staff, and lead highly complex research projects.
They also assume organization-wide responsibility for a portfolio of similar projects and / or technical domain and are expected to contribute to the identification and securing of funding opportunities.
- Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following : (1) leading highly complex research tasks or projects as a co-PI or PI, as needed;
- 2) independently determining the method(s) for completion of new projects; (3) developing new practices, processes, metrics or models, and providing solutions which may set precedent for the organization;
- 4) applying developed subject matter and methodological knowledge and advanced understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects;
- 5) providing guidance to research project and project sponsor colleagues; (6) conveying difficult, complex or sensitive information, and facilitating productive dialogue among project stakeholders;
- 7) mentoring colleagues in their role as manager, PI, and expert; (8) Identifying and securing funding for new research projects;
9) Engaging in project development and administration, including working with project funders and stakeholders to understand needs, designing rigorous survey and mixed methods research projects, executing any needed contracting, and setting up project governance structures.
Minimum Education Required :
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
Required Qualifications :
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or 3 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a related field of study is required.
Experience leading teams in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research is required. Demonstrated research independence such as with peer-reviewed publications or leadership on funded research projects is required.
Additional Desired Qualifications :
Experience working with health-related state agencies is preferred. Advanced expertise with statistical programming, survey instrumentation, or qualitative study design and analysis is preferred.
