SoundCloud is looking for a New York based FP&A Specialist for a short-term contractor role. This position would work closely with our Accounting team as well as other internal departments to support the music distribution & Roster businesses within the Creator space.
This position is a 6-month contract role with potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Creator business, including but not limited to revenue / expense reporting, marketing analysis, PO approvals & cost tracking
- Oversee the financials for the Roster business, including artist budgets, cost approvals, & artist statement reviews, while working closely with the Roster leadership team on deal negotiations & business operations
- Assist with overseeing & reviewing the month-end close process in conjunction with the Accounting team
- Conduct monthly variance / flux analyses with a primary focus on distribution revenue accruals vs. actuals
- Update monthly KPI metrics & reporting packages
- Report month-end results to management
Experience & Background :
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience at a distributor, record label, DSP, or major tech company
- CPA is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables & formulas
- Ability to analyze & combine information from multiple sources
- Solid interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal
- Proven reporting & organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-paced, team-oriented environment
The salary for the 6-month contract is $40,000.
