ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Junior Survey Data Analyst to join our growing Insights team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to learn and develop foundational analytical, reporting, and automation skills under close mentorship. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge in data extraction, cleaning, and visualization, and will support the team in reporting processes and insight generation that informs strategic decisions across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

This role is focused on supporting the Insights team's data operations and analysis efforts.

Data Management

  • Assist in the extraction, cleaning, and transformation of datasets from survey platforms and CRM systems.
  • Support data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Maintain clear documentation of data processes and definitions.

Analysis & Visualization

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and visual reports using tools like Looker Studio.
  • Run and deliver established weekly and monthly reports.
  • Support regular and ad hoc analysis by summarizing data to uncover preliminary insights and trends.
  • Reporting Support

  • Support the maintenance of existing automated workflows for recurring reports.
  • Use scripting (e.g., Python, SQL, or Google Sheets automation) for ad hoc data preparation and to streamline basic manual tasks.
  • Track and manage data requests from internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Business Development, Marketing, and Editorial teams to deliver data summaries and reports.
  • Support ongoing survey data projects, focusing on data integrity and timely delivery.
  • ABOUT YOU

    Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in a data, reporting, or insights-related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organized, manage tasks in parallel, and take direction effectively.
  • Technical Skills

  • Foundational knowledge of survey data or quantitative research methods.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for basic querying and data extraction.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation; an eagerness to develop these skills.
  • Experience with or a strong aptitude for learning data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio).
