  • Location : Americus, GA 31719 (Southwest Georgia)\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit (36 beds)\n
  • Assignment Duration : 17 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)\n
  • Nursing Shift : 12-hour day shifts\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
  • Holiday Requirement : Yes\n
  • Scrub Color : White tops, hunter green pants\n
  • Charting System : MEDITECH 6.1\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license in Georgia or compact state (required for Georgia nursing jobs)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in hospital Medical Surgical (Med / Surg) units\n
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred\n
  • Ability to float to other units as needed\n
  • Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (strict radius rule for travel nursing jobs)\n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic and bariatric surgery, AMS, and sepsis\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including hospitalists, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists\n
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using MEDITECH\n
  • Participate in floor-specific orientation (3 shifts)\n
  • Adhere to unit ratios : RN / LPN (6 : 1), CNA (12 : 1)\n
  • Deliver compassionate patient care while managing assignments efficiently\n
  • Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled\n
