Summary :

Are you an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator who is ready and interested in expanding your career?

Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education and assessment of clinical staff. The role of Senior Clinical Nurse Educator serves all aspects of nursing in the clinical setting : Educator, Consultant, Researcher, Facilitator, Change Agent, Leader.

Responsibilities :

Conducts and / or contributes to nursing research.Disseminates research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement findings through activities such as presentations, publications, and consultation.

Serves as consultant / mentor / change agent to staff, clinical leaders, and others as appropriate.Assists with developing specific departmental goal, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Manages the onboarding and orientation of all new employees and students on assigned unit(s).Plans, updates, and evaluates clinical competencies to assess quality of patient care delivered and ensure regulatory compliance.

Conducts needs assessments using a variety of strategic tools.Synthesizes evaluation data to guide decision-making about educational programming.

Leads committee, work groups / and / or projects related to the implementation of educational activities.

Masters : Nursing (Required)BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS), Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)

Additional Job Information :

Complexity of Work : Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be able to take a patient load as needed.

Required Work Experience : Five (5) years nursing experience, two (2) years facilitating learning / professional development.

Other Information : Specialty certification preferred.
