JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description
Onin Staffing is currently recruiting for a direct hire maintenance technician with a client in Durham. In this role, the candidate is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and prompting repairs of facilities and mechanical or electrical equipment.
- Monday-Friday 6am-3pm (on call Sunday-Thursday evenings as needed, doesn't happen often but is a possibility)
- $21.49 / hour (Could be more based on experience)
- Provide preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor system, forklifts, HVAC, and
- any other equipment needed for the warehouse operations to run smoothly
- Oversee outside contractual labor
- Obtain bids for any equipment or special projects
For this role you will be tasked with :
- Monthly maintenance tasks, including oil conveyor
- Quarterly maintenance tasks such as changing AC filters, servicing forklifts, and removing covers and greasing bearings
- Equipment repair and preventive maintenance
- Test sprinkler system
- Oversee outside contractor work
- Repair plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Maintenance and testing of sprinkler systems, fire pump, backflow valve, and alarm systems
- Obtain bids for contract work, materials, or equipment for special projects
Work Experience
For this role we are looking for :
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance in a warehouse setting
- Trade certification preferred
- Mechanically inclined
- Forklift certified
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment
- Building / facility maintenance experience (alarm, sprinkler, conveyor)
