Monument Chemical Bayport is seeking qualified candidates to fill our Process Design Engineer Intern position this Summer 2025.
Local Interns are responsible for funding and handling their housing and relocation arrangements .
Description :
Provide technical support assistance to Engineers while meeting company safety, environment, and economic guidelines. Candidate must be working towards a bachelor's or master's degree.
Essential Functions :
- Walking down PIDs
- Confirming Main equipment
- Confirming main as well as 2ndary pipe connectivities
- Confirming inline components such as valves, tee's, branches, control valves, strainers, etc
- Confirm inline Instruments and / or instruments on equipment
- Ability to red-line hardcopies PIDs
- Maintaining a Master list of all drawings with markups
- Confirming field instrument tag numbers
Qualifications :
- Must have completed junior level Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3.0 GPA, required
- Must have excellent verbal / written / interpersonal communication skills
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Must have lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Interns are responsible to secure their own housing arrangements
- CAD Experience a plus
