Amazing opportunity with a company located in Norfolk to join their team as a Financial Analyst! The Financial Analyst plays an integral role in management reporting and analysis to provide value-added insight into the business.
The Analyst interacts with Senior Management, Operations, Finance and Accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly results.
Experience with Power BI is a MUST. Applicants with no prior use of Power BI will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Support the consolidated reporting efforts for management reporting (US GAAP & IFRS).
- Support annual budget process
- Collaborate with business units across the organization to coordinate timely and accurate reporting.
- Support the Company’s financial reporting and analytical data requests.
- Produce key financial reports for senior management and external parties
- Analyze key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
- Develop meaningful content reporting analytics packages (periodic and ad hoc).
- Exercise strong analytical skills to deliver timely, accurate, and effective analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience and / or training; required.
- Knowledge of accounting / finance systems and financial and business principles.
- Ability to make timely decisions and organize multiple tasks accurately in a deadline sensitive environment.
- Demonstrated ability to apply GAAP and IFRS accounting practices.
- Knowledge of Power BI , DataRails or other third party analytics tool
