Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Engineer with OpenBuildings BIM (Building Information Modeling) experience to join our Digital Delivery team.
As an Transportation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation and management of BIM processes and workflows using Bentley's OpenBuildings suite of software.
You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure efficient project delivery and the successful utilization of BIM technologies.
Responsibilities
- Workflow Development : Develop and optimize BIM workflows to streamline project delivery, improve collaboration, and enhance data accuracy.
- Training and Support : Provide training and technical support to team members on OpenBuildings software tools and workflows.
- Standards Development : Establish and maintain BIM standards, templates, and libraries to promote consistency and quality across projects.
- Model Management : Manage BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, including model creation, coordination, clash detection, and model-based quantity takeoffs.
- Collaboration : Foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to facilitate the exchange of BIM data and information.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct regular reviews and audits of BIM models to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
- Innovation : Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in BIM technology, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
- Project Coordination : Coordinate BIM activities with project managers to meet project deadlines, budget constraints, and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree or certification in BIM management is a plus.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in BIM management, preferably with a focus on Bentley's OpenBuildings software suite.
- Proficiency in BIM software tools such as OpenBuildings Designer, OpenBuildings Station Designer, OpenBuildings Energy Simulator, and OpenBuildings Analysis.
- Strong understanding of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g., ISO 19650), and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in training and mentoring team members in BIM workflows and software usage.
- Knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
