We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Columbia, SC Facility!
JOB SUMMARY :
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including but not limited to : installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment.
This work is performed according to safety, preventive, and predictive maintenance systems and processes which support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Use CMMS to record work performed and track maintenance related tasks to ensure timely completion.
Diagnose problems, repair and replace parts, test and make adjustments.
Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC logic.
Perform regular preventative and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Actively participates in Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.
Complete work tasks at varying heights on ladders, boom / scissor lifts, etc.
Complete work in small areas such as in, under, and between machines.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Maintenance required; manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience should include supporting and fixing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Demonstrates great interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
Ability to drive forklifts; man / scissor lifts and be willing to perform various tasks at height.
Basic blueprint and schematic reading skills
Ability to effectively work under minimal supervision
Must be flexible to both indoor and outdoor work.
Certificate in one of more related fields is a plus : electronic troubleshooting and repair
