The Locum Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) is a highly skilled and experienced medical professional who provides patient care under the supervision of a cardiovascular surgeon.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiovascular surgery and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities :
Assist the cardiovascular surgeon in all aspects of patient care, including :
Preoperative evaluation and preparation
Intraoperative assistance
Postoperative care and management
Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans
Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular surgery and postoperative care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Document patient care in the medical record
Stay up-to-date on the latest advances in cardiovascular surgery
Qualifications :
Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of practice
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in cardiovascular surgery
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgery and the latest medical advances
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
