A. POSITION PURPOSE
The Assistant Director of Analytics and Player Personnel, Women's Soccer is responsible for the oversight of analytics as it relates directly to recruiting, evaluation, scouting, player personnel, and overall soccer strategy.
B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct data collection and analysis for game scouting.
Manage preparation of opponent scouts, opponent preps, and associated opponent preparation.
Provide data-oriented solutions to the appropriate stakeholders.
Manipulate and leverage large data sets to enable statistical analyses of the data.
Source, process, and understand new data sets that may aid in the potential evaluation or prediction of teams or player.
Create efficient, interpretable, automated tools to aid in communicating data results and visualizations.
2. Oversee individualized player analytics and statistical analysis.
Produce reports for each player using video, analytics, and stats.
Oversee the data and track progress.
3. Direct analytic collection and analysis for all areas of recruiting.
Maintain the recruit database.
Oversee the recruit response system.
4. Lead the research, analysis and maintenance of all subscription services.
Oversee all third-party services in the areas of recruiting, opponent scouting, and self-scouting.
Oversee the budget and department communication to implement and maintain third-party services.
Lead communication with athletic facilities and operations when adding or adjusting the systems for IT and facility review.
5. Oversee the student manager program.
Lead the process of identifying potential candidates.
Lead the communication with academic services and compliance for candidate review.
Lead the onboarding of student managers.
Develop and maintain graduate student and student manager scheduling and task assignments.
6. A ssist the Director of Operations in overseeing and managing the internal needs and services of the program.
Assist with planning weekly and monthly Student-Athlete schedules.
Assist with all on-campus recruiting activities.
Liaison to the development and marketing team with community and alumni events.
Assist with on-campus recruiting visits, per NCAA rules.
7. Other duties as assigned.
C. PROVIDES WORK DIRECTION
The position will be responsible for helping to supervise and lead student-athletes, and student managers.
D. GENERAL GUIDELINES
Recommends initiatives through analytics to improve evaluation of prospects.
Recommends initiatives through analytics to improve evaluation and subsequently performance of current student athletes.
Recommends initiatives through analytics to improve style of play and subsequently the performance of our team.
Use initiatives through analytics during games to help facilitate decision making for coaching staff.
Research the rapidly evolving trends in basketball analytics and sports science to make recommendations for advancement and improvement to the coaching staff.
Conducts research of best practices of NCAA, NBA and FIFA programs and prepares and submits reports as requested.
Does special projects through analytics to assist coaching staff.
Prepares progress reports; informs supervisor of project status; and deviation from goals. Ensures completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all operational functions.
Use analytics to help gather data for best game scheduling practices.

1. Knowledge
Advanced knowledge in the game of basketball
Experience in scouting and evaluating prospects
Background in intercollegiate athletics is highly desired
Knowledge of NCAA compliance rules
2. Skills
Strong soccer analytic skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Report writing and presentation skills
Proficient in soccer specific technology (Synergy, Hudl, etc.)
Strong leadership skills
3. Abilities

Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills, and an ability to write professionally
Candidate should be well versed in all relevant new technologies, innovations, and applications.

Bachelor’s degree
5. Years of Experience
3-5 years of working experience in soccer is preferred.
