System Clinical Staff Educator - Pediatrics

JOB SUMMARY
System Clinical Staff Educator is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing education offerings for employees in the inpatient and outpatient settings that correlate with the mission, vision, policies, and key initiatives.
The primary responsibility is to enhance through education the performance of those who serve our patients and customers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Individuals with an associate degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor’s degree nursing within three years of hire date.
Preferred / Optional : Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : Three years clinical experience, to include experience in an acute and / or ambulatory care setting.
Preferred / Optional : Two years nursing experience utilized in an acute and / or ambulatory care setting. Experience in an academic or instructional setting.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required :
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification provided by the American Heart Association and Crisis Prevention Institute certification within one year of hire.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Pediatric Advanced Life Support Recognition and Instructor based on business need.
- Applicable certifications and license based up degree held.
Preferred / Optional : None
Experience in pediatric populations, specifically in acute care peds, is required for this position. The focus on this SCSE will be pediatric training in addition to system requirements of the clinical education team.
PALS and STABLE will be required within 6 months of hire.
This position may be based out of a different Marshfield Clinic Health System Center; however, travel will be expected as a system educator to support pediatric training needs in other centers throughout the system.
