As a Senior Building Envelope Consultant, you will play a key role in conducting assessments, investigations, and designing innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage projects involving building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, wall systems, and fenestration.
  • Perform detailed condition assessments, forensic investigations, and failure analysis to identify root causes and develop effective remediation strategies.
  • Design and oversee testing programs to evaluate building envelope performance, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Develop comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and construction administration services for building envelope systems.
  • Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings related to building envelope systems.
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships, leveraging networking and marketing efforts to identify new business opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and actively participate in industry organisations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in building envelope consulting or a related field (preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, wall systems, and fenestration.
  • Proven experience in conducting condition assessments, forensic investigations, and failure analysis.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing building envelope testing programs.
  • Proficiency in building envelope system design, construction documents, specifications, and construction administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Professional licensure (PE, RA, or IIBEC credential) preferred.
  • Experience with expert witness testimony is a plus.
