LifeCenter Organ Donor Network is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Full Time Organ Donation Administrator on Call to join our team.
As an Organ Donation Administrator on Call, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating organ donation processes in a timely and efficient manner.
You will work closely with medical professionals, donor families, and transplant teams to ensure that the donation process is carried out with the utmost care and sensitivity.
Responsibilities :
- Respond to calls from hospitals and medical professionals regarding potential organ donors and determine which organs to offer and when allocation should begin
- Coordinate with medical professionals to determine donor eligibility and suitability for organ donation and determine if a consultation is needed
- Ensure authorization obtained from family is legal and complies with hospital policy and state laws
- Work closely with transplant teams to ensure that organs are allocated and transplanted in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of all organ donation activities
- Determine and approve if a deviation from standard protocol is needed and report to organ medical director
- Determine infectious disease testing time
- Approve extended operating room delays
- Address ethical concerns from staff and / or hospital partners
- Verify industry standards are followed
- Available 24 / 7 by phone when on call
- Make critical decisions in high stress environments and under time constraints

- Bachelor's degree in healthcare field. Exceptional candidates with significant healthcare or OPO experience may apply.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in donor management, allocation and organ recovery
- Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) from the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple and concurrent priorities while meeting deadlines
- Provider leadership to on-call clinical staff
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Make critical decisions to facilitate organ donation and possibly save a life
- Collect and analyze scientific, medical and social data
