Engineering and Facilities Technician (levels I, II, III)
Reports to : Engineering / Facilities Manager
Classification : Non-exempt
Full Time / Year Round
Technician 1 : Job Summary
As an Engineering and Facilities Technician 1 you will be tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds at the Ranch.
Duties will be varied throughout the day as situations arise. There will be an emphasis on preventive maintenance. You will also perform snow removal with vehicle mounted plow equipment, snow blowers and snow shovels.
Education and / or Experience
- At least 1 year in facilities maintenance or trade experience.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Driver’s License, in good standing, required.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Trade experience in one or more of the following : Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Snow Removal, Fabrication.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to stay on task with limited supervision.
- Ability to safely operate motorized equipment.
- Knowledge and experience in operation of various types of heavy equipment machines.
- Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and other equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with resort operations.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
- Willingness to work with others and promote a positive work environment.
Technician 2 : Job Summary
As an Engineering and Facilities Technician 2 you will be tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds at the Ranch.

Technician 3 : Job Summary
As an Engineering and Facilities Technician 3 you will be tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds at the Ranch.
Assist with coordination of outside contractors for major repairs or renovations. Duties will be varied throughout the day as situations arise.
There will be an emphasis on preventive maintenance. You will also assist with snow removal and coordination with vehicle mounted plow equipment, snow blowers and snow shovels.
Education and / or Experience
- 3-5 years facilities maintenance or trade experience.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Driver’s License, in good standing, required.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Strong knowledge and experience in two or more of the following : Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry,
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to stay on task with limited supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hvac systems
- Knowledge and experience in safe operation of various types of heavy equipment machines.
- Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and other equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with resort operations.
- Ability to read and understand building plans.

Technician (I, II, III) Job Tasks / Duties
- Work with the Engineering team with a positive and productive manner.
- Assist manager with work order fulfillment and identifying safety concerns.
- Pleasantly greet, make eye contact, listen, and respond appropriately to every member’s or members guest’s needs and or questions.
- Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Abide by all rules of the road and safe speed for conditions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Abides by operating procedures, i.e., pre-trip inspection, fueling & fluids checks, Interior vehicle inspection and cleaning.
- Ensures that all equipment receives visual pre-operation check list inspection as directed by the supervisor or management rep.
- Performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities as directed and reports equipment issues to supervisor.
- Follow and perform all company and departmental policies and procedures i.e., punctuality, attendance, dress, and grooming standards, etc.
- Attends staff meetings and pre shift safety meetings.
- Snow removal with truck mounted snowplows.
- Assist members, guests, and coworkers to enjoy their time at WPR.
- Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned.

Licenses and Special Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to communicate effectively and write English.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Regularly exposed to wet / snowy and / or cold conditions.
- Regularly work early morning shifts During winter operations.
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, stooping and movement.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous sitting, standing, and walking.
- May need to use some protective equipment.
