Associate Policy Administrator
Symetra has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a n Associate Policy Administrator!
About the role
In this position, you are responsible for supporting the new business and various customer service and contract administration functions to in-force Life, Disability.
You'll work within a team that provides service and support to Premium, Commission, Underwriting, Claims, and Field sales and service teams.
What you'll do in this role
- Process and analyze member updates for group life and disability coverage with high level of daily transactions
- Process and analyze Evidence of Insurability applications for group life and disability coverage following set guidelines for approval or declination with high level of daily transactions
- Process and analyze Portability Continuation applications for group life coverage
- Ability to work with both internal and external partners and entails both verbal and written communication with policy holders, applicants and brokers on sensitive and personal information
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Symetra sales, field and home office service teams
- Participate in projects and training initiatives as assigned
- Working within multiple applications and workflows to include identifying new ideas to enhance improved processes
- Obtain and maintain basic knowledge of products, processes, industry and company rules
- Excellent customer service skills and able to handle daily customer calls and emails
- Manage daily work assignments and work within daily Service Level Agreements

Compensation Hourly Salary Range : $ 21.00 - $31.96 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
Who you are
- 1+ years' experience in a fast-paced team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Insurance knowledge strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively with internal and external partners, via email and phone call
- Strong Planning, Prioritizing, Organizational skills
- Detail orientation with a high level of accuracy
- Learn and apply a sophisticated system and set of rules and guides
- Multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation skills
