Lab technician/Chemical
Job Location : 32100 Stephenson Hwy, Madison Hts, Michigan 48071
Position Type : contract( 12 months) with possible extension
Pay Rate $27 / hr on w2 with benefits
Qualifications :
- Analytical chemistry inclined individual that can perform analysis of Henkel or related products following standard methods & ASTMs.
- The role focus entails expertise with microscopy, spectroscopy, chromatography, and x-ray related techniques as applied to analytical chemistry evaluation.
- The chemistry evaluation includes but is not limited to qualitative identification of materials, quantitative measure of chemical composition and general problem-solving skills.
- The role requires process orientation and experience with oversight of high-volume lab processes with minimal supervision from senior technical staff.
- Knowledge and experience with software for statistical evaluation, presentation and report generation is mandatory.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with prior laboratory experience preferred.
- Previous experience in an Analytical laboratory highly desirable.
- Good wet chemistry skills : titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, gravimetric determinations.
- Knowledge and experience with GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM / EDS and FTIR is desirable
- Prior use of pH and specific ion electrode meters.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong chemical math skills.
- Strong PC skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills.

- Upkeep of Digital Programs (Microsoft, LIMS, Statistical Analysis etc.)
