Position : High School English Teacher Michigan Teacher Certificate
Salary : Per SCEA Master Agreement
Direct Supervisor : Building Principal

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Must be highly qualified and certified to teach in the State of Michigan and possess the necessary educational background and the Michigan teacher certification in English (BA 6-12)
- Must possess the ability to deliver effective classroom instruction and management
- Must possess a strong desire to work with students and their parents
- Must possess a willingness to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including staff and curriculum development
- Must possess a willingness to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction
- Must possess a willingness to adapt to continuous change
- Must possess excellent communication skills when engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
- Must possess a demonstrated mental / physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position
- Punctual, regular, & consistent attendance is required.
PREFERRED
Certification in 6-12 subject areas.
FLSA Status : Exempt
