Hours : 37.5 hours per week
Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our school team in Kansas City, KS. This full-time position involves providing resource support for middle school students, with a manageable caseload of 15-20 students.

Key Responsibilities :
- Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
- Provide targeted instruction and adjust curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records and regularly track student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Valid Kansas Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team of educators and staff.
