Environmental Professional - Air Permitting
Job Title : Environmental Professional - Air Permitting Client : Oil & Gas Location : Houston, TX Duration : 6 Months Description : ASAP opening in Houston office for an Air Permitting contractor.
Candidates must have previous oil and gas air permitting experience. Must be able to perform air permitting tasks from day one with no training required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is necessary. Key Details : Work Schedule : Hybrid Travel : Approximately 25% travel required.
Overview : Provide environmental permitting support to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate closely with management, operations, and HES professionals.
Support the air permitting program and environmental assessments of operational locations. Report to the Environmental Supervisor.
Support air permitting in the development of the Permian, Oklahoma, and Eagle Assets. Primary Responsibilities : Generate and submit all air permit applications utilizing consultants.
Ensure adherence to data collection, permit requests, and QAQC procedures by the team as well as company standards. Make applicability determinations related to NSPS JJJJ, NSPS OOOO / OOOOa / OOOOb, NESHAPs ZZZZ, etc.
Clarify and submit information due to agency inquiries for permit authorizations. Communicate equipment, flash factors, or emissions changes to the Emission Accounting team monthly.
Maintain constant communications with Production Operations, Facilities Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure permits are accurate and air permit conditions are achievable.
Prepare handoff documents detailing compliance and monitoring requirements to the Compliance Team, including production limits and engine testing limits.
Gather, maintain, and analyze datasets for environmental reports. Other Responsibilities : Project management, including developing requests for bid proposals and supervising contractors.
Optimize the permit application process. Travel to stakeholder meetings and act as a company representative. Adhere to established work schedules, attendance standards, and punctuality for work and meetings.
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in environmental science / engineering or a technical discipline. 3+ years of relevant upstream oil & gas experience.
Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office suite and various Environmental databases.
Project management skills with minimal oversight required. Preferred Requirements : Proficiency in SCADA, SAP, and Promax.
Prior experience permitting compressor engines and production facilities.
