This is our Senior Revenue Accountant role for those who possess a strong sense for detail, analytical skills and are ready to combat discrepancies in financial records.

Tasks in the role

Ensuring revenue is recognized in accordance with U. S. GAAP and ASC 606.

Ensuring compliance with Semrush’s accounting policies and procedures.

Recommending and executing process improvements.

Acting as the first contact for revenue & AR questions.

Supervising the processing of orders, invoices, and cash receipts in Oracle.

Preparing revenue, deferred revenue, and other revenue-related journal entries.

Reconciling accounts receivable and deferred revenue monthly.

Assisting management by preparing monthly revenue-related reports.

Preparing ad-hoc reports as needed for various groups.

Providing US GAAP support to subsidiaries outside of the US.

Assisting with the automation of business processes and implementing new tools as needed to manage revenue transactions.

Acting as the main contact to external auditors for revenue, deferred revenue, and AR-related transactions.

Who we are looking for

Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.

Experience with public accounting is required.

ASC 606 experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Ability to effectively prioritize, reprioritize, and manage multiple activities.

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Experience in mentoring or supervising other team members is highly preferred.

CPA or auditing experience is highly preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is highly preferred.
