Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager

Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a motivated, self-starter for our Raleigh, NC office as a Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to serve our Transportation and Environmental teams .

This candidate will have the opportunity to see all facets of transportation project development, including the planning, roadway and drainage design, and traffic analysis.

We are seeking a motivated candidate that will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our transportation practice in North Carolina and the surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate has prior transportation experience; project management experience is not required but would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

The candidate selected for this position will be involved with the following :

• Managing design or traffic analysis tasks for transportation projects.
• Preparing plans, specifications, and bid packages.
• Coordination with other design professionals and technical staff.
• Monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Coordinating between transportation design and environmental / planning disciplines.
• Assisting with preparing invoices.
• Identifying new business opportunities.
• Assisting the marketing staff with proposals preparation.
• Representing the firm at professional organization events.
• Training entry-level engineers.
• Interfacing with clients.
• Exercising ethical decision-making and adhering to the Dewberry Code of Conduct.
• Upholding workplace safety and abiding by Dewberry’s health and safety, and harassment policies.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Transportation Engineering.
• 10+ years of transportation project experience.
• NC PE license, or ability to obtain within one year.
• Energetic with ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Project management exposure / experience.
