Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults.
We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems.
As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a Psychiatric LPN to join our 2nd Shift team.
Essential Job Requirements :
- Provides direct patient care according to nursing care plans and the patient’s individualized treatment plan.
- Participates with other personnel in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu. Consistently assessing the physical, social, and emotional needs of patients.
- Assists with behavior management, crisis control, seclusion, and restraint, under the direction of the registered nurse.
- Assists RN with patient admissions and discharges.
- Administers medication and treatments to patients.
- Assists with medication education, informed consent and monitoring the effectiveness and efficacy of medications.
- Documents the administration of medications and treatments according to policies and procedures.
- Maintains and models professional standards of performance and attitude.
- Adheres to the Infection Control policies and procedures of the hospital, consistently following standard precautions.
- Adheres to patient confidentiality and hospital protocol.
- Maintains CPR / BLS certification as needed and required, without a lapse in certification.
- Addresses delinquent medical records in timely manner.
- Completes and maintains all required hospital trainings at the time of hire and then annually thereafter.
- Other duties as assigned, needed and or required within scope of practice.

- Current license to practice nursing in the state of Michigan (or eligible to receive or renew).
