Regional Sales / Business Development Manager - Environmental ServicesSequence has been exclusively retained and is currently searching for a capable Sales and Business Development leader with environmental remediation, engineering, and field services knowledgebase for a growing mid-sized equity backed entity with offices in St.

Louis, Chicago and Kansas, and Indiana.This role is currently the most high-profile position of its kind here in the niche environmental industry.

We have been tasked with finding a business development leader to grow out the organizations environmental and engineering service offering.

The company provides site characterization, engineering / design, and environmental compliance services as well as field services and remediation efforts these range from smaller projects and investigations to legacy sites management in both the private and government sector.

Today, the company has directed us with finding them a capable individual that can lead sales, business development and account management activities.

The ideal candidate will have both the business development experience and technical background to develop business and generate revenue with existing and new clients and optimize the company’s growth by acquiring long-term quality clients through consistent lead generation and lead conversion to facilitate meeting the company’s financial objectives.

By sales, we mean client prospecting and contract expansion efforts primarily to promote the organization and service abilities as well as work a vast array of already existing government and private contract mechanisms.

So, there is a need for an individual with remedial and engineering knowledgebase to explain the nature of the services and interact initially with technical professionals to open doors and enhance relationships.

The role is structured with base salary and lucrative upside commission structure with unlimited earning potential.General Duties : Drive the entire sales cycle from prospect engagement to signed project opportunities.

Drive and lead business development activities by visiting clients and prospects to uncover and evaluate their needs and identifying related solutions to achieve the business growth plansPlan, direct, coordinate, and oversee all business development activities locally, regionally, and nationallyManage company wide sales by developing business plans, tracking sales goals, and setting individual sales targets.

Establish goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business.Cultivate and expand relationships with current clients and team consultants and foster new relationships with clients.

Actively participate in networking opportunities, including exhibiting at regular industry trade shows and conferences.Maintain a sufficient prospect pipeline to ensure continuity of revenues and profitability year over year.

The ideal candidate would have industry domain experience coupled with the ability to undertake sales, marketing, and account management activities.

This could be the ideal position for a talented mid to senior level professional with skills and experience who is now seeking to take on a challenge and step up in responsibility.

The role is slated to be based in Chicago, but could potentially be situated in any of the organizations five regional offices so long as the right individual is willing to travel.
