About this Position
The Security Officer is a fulltime position that ensures the protection and safety of all visitors and staff at any Primerica property or event.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Security Officer security posts as designated by Security Director, greets visitors and staff in a professional and polite manner, monitors employee and visitor traffic to be alert to suspicious persons or situations, advises supervisor of potential security problems, receives complaints and / or information from employees and visitors and takes appropriate action, checks visitor and employee identification badges in buildings where identification is required, and maintains and records appropriate information in the shift's log book.
The Security Officer also completes incident reports accurately and timely to include all pertinent information to assist Security Director.

- May include nights, weekends & holidays
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Security Officer, Military or Law Enforcement is required
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers license is required
- Proficient with MS Word
- Excellent judgment and decision-making ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skill to interact and communicate with employees and the public daily in a professional manner
- Current certification and competency in CPR / AED and basic First Aid
- Willingness to cooperate and accept directions
- Basic supervisory and administrative skills
- Walk or run for long periods of time
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs
- Good Judgement and decision making
