Thisindividual is an integral part of the team that develops andimplements information technology strategies platforms andsolutions that meet current and future businessneeds.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Theprimary focus will be performing all aspects of data andinformation management and database administrative tasks.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A minimum of 13 years of experiencein database administration is required
- Mustpossess knowledge of relational databases; ability to create tableschemas indexes keys rules constraints etc.
- Must be able to write stored proceduresqueries and work with nonSQL data sources
- Mustpossess the ability to administer MSSQL servers automate andmonitor maintenance jobs manage and maintain proper backup andbusiness continuity and disaster recovery procedures according toIT policy
- Must possess core knowledge ofMicrosoft technologies including .Net 2.0 Windows OS and
- MSOffice applications
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skillsare required
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills are required
- Must possessthe ability to work with and talk to end users
- Must be able to work independently and thrivewith minimal supervision

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Design develop andimplement complex data models using industry standardtools
- Design construct and implement physicaldatabases
- Develop revise and implement policiesstandards procedures and guidelines necessary to effectivelyadminister the database environment
- Plan andconduct structured testing of database designs to confirmfunctionality and performance
- Develop andimplement plans to oversee data and database administrationfunctions and ensure smooth transition to newtechnology
- Perform routine and customaryoperational and monitoring activities to ensure the databaseenvironment is stable and performance is capable of meeting andexceeding ongoing business needs
- Evaluate newtechnology and techniques to implement and maintain databases anddatabase environment
- Develop implement and testbackup and recovery plans
- Assist withapplication and user support whenneeded
