Our patients value the birthing center experience (less hospital-feel) and appreciate the continuity of care with their nurse from labor to postpartum care.
We are a teaching hospital so we work with residents. We have a dedicated anesthesia team that only covers women s services.
We have a Hospitalist available 24 / 7 to respond for oversight and emergencies if needed. We typically deliver 110-130 babies per month at BCS (for a hospital total of 450-500 / month).
Our c / s rate averages 10%. We have quite a few tenured nurses (some opened the BCS 25+ years ago) and always hear about the great teamwork.
