Role Description
At AutoAlert, the Quality Assurance Analyst will be an integral part of our Software Development / R&D team and will own system quality and testing.
Working in collaboration with our Product Managers and Development, you will create and execute manual and automated testing to ensure system quality and performance.
You are a team player with strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset. You are part of a creative, diverse, collaborative team of hardworking individuals with the goal of increasing brand favorability, customer engagement and advocacy, and revenue growth.
- Perform manual and automated testing, which may include exploratory, system, regression, smoke, performance, compatibility, and integration testing
- Design / execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases / scripts
- Plan, create, execute, and maintain manual / automated scripts
- Document test procedures, analysis, and results
- Document software defects using a defect tracking system and report those defects to project team
- Monitor defect resolution, include in test planning, and track outcomes of defect remediation
- Build tiered regression and smoke test suites
- Participate in daily standup, iteration planning, and release planning sessions
- Work directly with Product and Development to ensure all work is thoroughly tested
- Plan, organize, and direct Quality Assurance activities to achieve maximum operations efficiency in meeting department and company goals and objectives
- Work in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) environment where releases are done multiple times per month
- Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process

Your Experience and Impact
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field preferred
- 3+ years related work experience in the role of Quality Assurance and / or Test Engineering
- Experience testing web, desk
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional environments including Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Support, Training, and Engineering teams
- Track record of successful collaboration with a product development team or organization in an agile environment
- Strong strategy, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to create messaging that highlights market and customer value as well as differentiation
- Skilled and comfortable with presenting to a variety of audiences
- Skilled at adapting to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, multi-tasking, and managing competing priorities with multiple deadlines
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but works with other team members inside and outside of the department
