Position Summary :

The Onsite Revenue Cycle Operations Liaison plays a vital role in overseeing specific aspects of the revenue cycle process.

This role oversees a large team of direct and indirect reports across teams that perform front-end financial clearance activities and back-end billing and collections for services rendered.

This role provides leadership, direction and focus for the team, monitors productivity targets, assesses team performance, coaches supervisors and indirect reports, identifies gaps in processes leading to revenue leakage and recommends corrective measures.

The On-site Revenue Cycle Operations Liaison is the primary point of contact for CRA’s partnership with RCA’s RCM Director and will ensure company and corporate goals and tasks are executed timely.

They will report weekly / monthly to CRA’s COO to ensure transparency within RCM operations and uphold the highest level of CMS and other governing compliance regulations within Revenue Cycle.

Job duties / responsibilities :

  • Partners with practice and corporate leadership in the development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies aimed at improving cashflow, reducing denials, and enhancing overall revenue performance.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of action plans to close gaps and achieve business metrics. Additionally, will maintain CRA / RCA RCM tracker.
  • Supports the implementation of best practices and industry standards for revenue cycle management to obtain / retain best-in-class results.
  • Ensures compliance with departmental budget.
  • Manages supervisors and subordinate teammates across the RCM department and is responsible for the performance management and development, hiring, and discipline of subordinate teammates.
  • Collaborates with team members across various departments to streamline processes and resolve revenue cycle challenges.
  • Conducts ongoing productivity and process reviews and implements process revisions as needed.
  • Monitors aged accounts and verifies appropriate collection procedures are being followed.
  • Makes recommendations for solutions that meet organizational goals.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate credit balance policies.
  • Manages patient complaints concerning billing, collections, referrals and authorizations.
  • Monitors the write-off process and approves adjustment after proper review and exhausted efforts.
  • Reviews financial hardship applications for completeness / compliance with regulatory guidelines; approves / denies based on established criteria.
  • Facilitates an inclusive workplace built on collaboration, cooperation, and a commitment to patient-centered excellence.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Degree and / or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five to Seven years of leadership experience required; Medical Billing and Prior Authorizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of NextGen, EPM, and Nextech EMR or similar platforms preferred
  • Broad knowledge and experience in Billing practices
  • Above average skills in process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example, maintain composure in stressful situations, communicate effectively
  • Experience in Leadership methodologies, motivation techniques, applying coaching principles

Salary Range : $74,416.74 - 119,066.79
