HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Work with Microsoft SCCM to provide user workstation baseline configuration and administration of operating systems.
• Leverage SCCM to provide security updates, vulnerability patches, hotfixes, and other updates to user workstations and servers.
• Develop and maintain baseline images for servers and laptops to add the latest security updates, software versions, hotfixes, patches, etc.
• Perform In Place Upgrades as needed for servers and laptops.
• Maintain existing packages and add new packages to the enterprise software catalog.
• Create and administer advertisements, programs, collections, and custom reports in SCCM.
• Troubleshoot failed SCCM deployments and SCCM health issues.
• Administer SCCM software delivery, including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine-targeted, user-targeted, Application Library, and Software Center.
• Administer the SCCM tool set back end to keep the system running and healthy, including changes to core components and settings, software delivery, client health, reporting, boundaries, and bandwidth settings.
• Manage and administer SCCM client health, including the process of getting clients healthy.
• Perform general SCCM administration and troubleshooting.
• Modify and deploy 3rd party packaging, and troubleshoot 3rd party package installs.
• Leverage group policy to modify installation package behavior, restrict OS features, and improve workstation security.
• Use WSUS to address patching and updates across a Windows enterprise.
• Configure AppV to virtualize applications such as the MS Office suite, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 2019 a significant plus.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED :

• Education : BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• DoD 8140 compliance required.
• Required Experience : 8+ years of related experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
• Security Clearance : Active Top Secret.
• Location : JBAB (Joint Base Anacostia Bolling). Hybrid, 2 days remote a week after 100% onsite for up to the first 6 months.
