Description :
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in order to help them achieve their maximum functional level.
You will need to possess knowledge in the treatment of orthopedic and neurological conditions.
The responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant include assisting patients in carrying out their treatment plans and participating in therapeutic activities.
This will involve providing manual physical exercises, guiding patients in non-manual exercises, assisting with ambulatory functional activities, and supporting them in their daily living tasks.
Additionally, you will apply assistive devices and ensure that patients receive exceptional care. You will assess and interpret evaluations and test results, collaborate with physicians to determine treatment plans, and accurately document patient care services in accordance with legal and professional requirements.
In this position, you will be expected to stay updated on existing and upcoming legislation and provide guidance to management to ensure compliance.
Your duties will include :
- Conducting follow-up visits for orthopedic patients in home health settings
- Maintaining eligibility requirements for home health services
- Providing maintenance therapy to patients
- Driving as needed
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited Assistant Therapy Assistant Program
Active licensure as a physical therapist assistant in the state
Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health as a physical therapist assistant
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and compassion
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
