About The Position
- Job Title : Registered NurseJob Specialty : Labor & Delivery Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night Shift, 7 PM - 7 : 30 AM;
- Every Other Weekend Required Guaranteed Hours : 34.50 Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery License : RN License Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have : Magnesium Sulfate experience;
Proficient in Newborn and Postpartum Assessment; BSN required Job Description : - Provide safe, competent, and quality care based on nursing theory and research to patients and their families.
- Deliver patient care by incorporating professional practice models and approved organizational nursing standards. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan.
- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, coaching, and planning post-hospital care. - Educate patients and caregivers about their care plan, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. - Manage assignments with Modified Primary Nursing, demonstrating effective resource allocation.
- Role model actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Medication Review to support patient-centered care.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families. - Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Engage in process improvement strategies based on evidence-based practices. - Collaborate on quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.
- Perform charge nurse duties and ensure efficient utilization of resources. - Document nursing practice accurately to support quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a supportive environment for clinical colleagues, patients, and families. - Advance clinical competence in nursing practice, supporting personal and professional development.
