Licensed Practical Nurse Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Take and record patient's vital signs
- Dresses Wounds
- Observes patient and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to appropriate personnel in charge
- Administers specified medication and nutrition and notes time and amount on patient's chart
- Adhere to patient's daily routine
- Maintain patient's oxygen routine if applicable
- Accompany patient to doctor appointments (dayshift only)
- Establish communication path with patient
- Assembles and uses such equipment as catheters, nebulizer, suctioning, Bi-Pap and oxygen supplies
- Records food and fluid intake and output
- Assists with bathing, dressing, transfers and repositioning
Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements :
- LPN license in the State of Georgia
- 3 years experience as an LPN
- Ability to write routine reports and required correspondence that are HIPAA compliant
- Must be able to appropriately respond to and maintain confidential information in compliance with HIPAA
- Reliable vehicle
- Clean background and criminal record
