Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Assist Senior-Level and / or Junior-Level Staff or independently observe construction-related activities
  • Expeditiously prepare and accurately document daily construction-related activities observed and / or data collection
  • Interpret provided construction document(s) / construction drawing(s) / construction plan(s) and provide clear and concise direction (if required)
  • Demonstrate a professional, ethical, and resolute attitude on construction site(s) / job site(s)
  • Resolve and / or refer construction-related issues / problems to Senior-Level Staff and / or Project Manager / Management / Direct-Report
  • Be able to perform minor design or construction-related calculations
  • Perform material testing and / or sampling related to soil, aggregate, bituminous, concrete, or masonry construction
  • Perform and inspect building components, foundations, and / or other various building related inspections
  • Be accommodating to performing work outside of normal business hours; such as nights, weekends, and / or holidays; extended hours and overnight stays may be required
  • Be able to perform work away from or outside of the physical Office location
  • Be able to perform work outside of a 100-mile radius of the physical Office location and / or throughout South Carolina
  • Assist in the analysis, preparation, or modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, permits, for project(s) worked on
  • May serve as an on-site project representative
  • May attend Client Meeting(s)
  • Position requires heavy lifting, working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis, and ability to perform work independently.
  • Travel to construction site(s) throughout the stat is an essential function of this position

Qualifications

  • High School diploma. Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or applicable field preferred.
  • Minimum of 0 - 2 years of experience required.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Performance Expectations

  • Accurately records and reports daily forms per project requirements
  • Communicates effectively with client, contractor, staff, and supervisor
  • Proactively resolves problems at the lowest level
  • Adheres to project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting
  • Submits accurate time sheets, mileage and expense reports on time each week
  • Reviews jobsite safety daily and takes immediate action to document and resolve issues
  • Understands OSHA Safety Standards and KCI corporate policies and follows them at all times
  • Maintains all required certifications and participates in training courses as required
  • Understands all applicable industry standards for project and performs all tasks per standards and client requirements
