The Senior Business Analyst works independently to support IT and Business initiatives. They will act as coach and mentor to junior business analysts to develop business analysis frameworks, expand business process knowledge and implement repeatable approaches utilizing industry standard techniques.
This person aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions supporting business needs; collaborates with business and IT leadership to deliver capabilities and key business and IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintains a deep understanding of the IT Organization, IT processes and business systems that they support
Leads and mentors team members in support of business analyst deliverables, understanding and incorporating industry best practices / standards
Works with the business leaders and IT team members to assess current capabilities and create quality requirements of all types using the appropriate models for both the customer and project (process models, prototypes, data flows etc..)
Leads and facilitates dynamic and interactive requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders throughout the enterprise
Plans and leads large and more complex initiatives and escalates as appropriate to senior management.
Develops and applies strategies and best practices for QA, regression and UA efforts
Develops and authors test strategy, test plans and test cases and leads testing efforts
Builds strong relationships and trust with business stakeholders and acts as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and key solution constraints back to the business
Works with other team members to incorporate the business vision and industry best practices into the technical roadmaps for the platform
Maintains proficient knowledge of business and technical domains to evaluate solutions across the enterprise
Advocates for continuous improvement by gathering and incorporating successes and lessons learned into best practices and future enhancements
Leverages systems thinking in the development of strategies and solutions
Conducts themselves with transparency
Interview and provide feedback for potential new hires
Key Requirements :
Bachelors Degree in a related area plus 5 - 7 years experience
Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and handle shifts in priorities.
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to think creatively to assist team members in promoting innovation
Strong analytical, evaluative skills and the ability to think creatively.
Strong communication skills at the various Business and IT Organization levels.
Experienced with SQL / SQL Server.
