About the Role :
Under the direction of the CEO, this person will act as an agent of change for facilitating and solving some of Aviat’s key challenges such as how to scale following acquisitions, moving and leveraging factory moves, and managing cross-functional improvement projects.
This person will utilize the Aviat Operating Model, as well as process improvement and business transformation methodologies, by using Lean practices and principles.
In addition, this role is responsible for building Lean thinking foundational capabilities within the organization.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the assessment, strategy creation, and execution plan for transforming and improving the performance of our business, managing identified improvement projects.
- Promote this transformation through executive coaching and mentoring, value stream analysis, Kaizen events, tools such as A3 thinking and root cause analysis.
- Review factory moves, both planned and unplanned and create lessons learned / best practices from past acquisitions. Review and improve the move checklists and develop process for upcoming moves.
- Understand the dated plan to insource Benchmark and better leverage them as strategic partners by improving KPIs and regular business reviews.
- Manage the operational excellence project pipeline and review outcome of past and future continuous improvement projects.
- Understand the S&OP process and facilitate improvements to improve forecast accuracy.
- Review and update Aviat’s operational excellence strategic documents.
- Other job duties as defined.
Qualifications & Competencies :
- Lean transformation experience and understanding of lean principles with a proven track record of changing culture and getting results.
- Experience managing people directly and indirectly to achieve shared results.
- 10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement and / or Supply Chain.
- Experience driving improvements cross-functionally by utilizing lean and change management techniques.
