Mechanical Engineer

Eagle tech consultants is looking for a dynamic mid to senior mechanical engineer with experience in Hvac or Refrigeration design.

Opportunity is full time and offers benefits, 401k and Bonus! Relocation provided as well.

The position is located in Dallas,TX and will require you to be onsite. Opportunity does offer relocation assistance.

Job Summary :

The Mechanical HVAC Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, residential type projects.

This role involves managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC or Refrigeration engineering, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

RELOCATION WILL BE PROVIDED IF NEEDED.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Management :
• Lead HVAC design projects from initial concept through construction and commissioning.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive HVAC system designs.
• knowledge of industry standards
• Design and Engineering :
• Developing conceptual designs and performing feasibility studies for refrigeration systems
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Technical Leadership :
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance checks on design documents.
• Stay current with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
• conduct testing and validation to ensure that designs meet all safety and operational standards.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement :
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
• Present design concepts and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Address client concerns and modify designs as needed to meet project requirements.
• Sustainability and Innovation :
• Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design principles into HVAC projects.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is NOT required but preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC / Refrigeration design and engineering.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Autodesk inventor
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• familiar with water source heat pumps preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

• LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices.
• Experience in designing HVAC systems for diverse building types, including commercial, industrial, and residential.
• Familiar with water source heat pumps
