About The Position
Job Title : OR Tech Job Specialty : General Surgery Job Duration : 26 weeks Shift : 12 hours, 07 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : 2+ years experience required License : Active VA License required upon submission Certifications : BLS (must be AHA), CST Must-Have : - Robotics experience preferred Job Description : Handle common surgical cases in various specialties including Ortho, Neuro, Maxillofacial, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Colo-Rectal, General, GYN, Robotics, Urology, Spine, Podiatry, Thoracic, and Breast.
- Responsible for floating to GI / Endoscopy with common procedures such as Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, and PEG Placement.
- Work in a setting with 9 suites and handle 25-35 cases per day.- Utilize EPIC EMR system; EPIC access not required.- Scrubs are provided by the hospital.
- Participate in floor-specific orientation for 1 week (2 weeks for night shift).- Weekend expectations include being on-call during the day and overnight.
- 5-6 on-call shifts including overnight and weekends, with additional call on holidays if within the contract time frame.
