Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled Water Mitigation Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience and IICRC Certification.

This role requires expertise in water damage restoration, estimating, and customer relations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xactimate and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Begin each day by reviewing the job board to verify team locations and ensure all necessary resources are allocated for task completion.
  • Check and respond to urgent emails promptly.
  • Coordinate with the daily dispatcher to assign tasks efficiently.
  • Write accurate estimates to ensure completed work is billed and future work is scheduled for production.

On-Site Responsibilities :

  • Arrive at the loss address and inform dispatch upon arrival.
  • Communicate with property owners to explain the mitigation process.
  • Conduct initial inspections using provided equipment (meters, thermal camera, ALBI, and Company Cam) to create a detailed scope of work.
  • Determine coverage status and explain the insurance process to the customer if the loss is covered. Obtain the Work Authorization signature.
  • For uncovered losses, create an on-site estimate, present it to the customer, and email it. Attempt to secure the job, offering a discount of up to 10% (contact ESR Manager for higher discounts).

Collect payment as needed.

Coordinate with dispatch to schedule crew visits for mitigation tasks.

Off-Site Responsibilities :

  • Maintain communication with dispatch and crews throughout the project to monitor progress.
  • Follow up with customers on unsold losses within 48 hours (24 hours by the office).
  • Perform random quality checks on crews and provide additional training as needed.
  • Respond to all emails within 48 hours.
  • Assist in settling claims with adjusters when necessary.
  • Ensure all certifications and Continuing Education (CE) credits are up to date.

Additional Skills :

Bilingual skills are advantageous but not required.

Compensation & Benefits :

  • Base Pay : $80,000 - $120,000 per year or up to 5% of total revenue created.
  • Bonuses : Quarterly performance bonuses.
  • Commission Plan :
  • 3% of total mitigation and content sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.
  • 1% of total reconstruction / repair sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.
  • Company vehicle and gas card - for the selected position

  • 401K, company match up to 6%
  • Paid Time Off Eligible after 90 days.
  • 5 days vacation and 3 sick days in the first 2 years.
  • After 2 years, increase to 10 vacation days.

Requirements :

  • IICRC Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water mitigation
  • Proven Xactimate experience
