The Underwood Law Firm helps people solve co-owned real estate disputes. We are a boutique real estate and business litigation firm looking for an Associate Attorney with 0 to 5 years of experience to join our rapidly growing firm.
Our work involves pioneering novel issues and innovative approaches in the cutting-edge field of partition law. Our firm has been recognized as the experts in the field in Newsweek, the LA Business Journal, and as a nominee for the prestigious Vanguard Award from Law.com.
This is a Remote OR Hybrid role. Attorneys may work onsite if desired.

Responsibilities :
- Drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Arguing in court
- Developing litigation strategies to help clients achieve their goals
- Reviewing and investigating legal claims
- Conducting legal research and writing, including complaints, discovery, briefs, and letters;
- Appearing for court and depositions;
- Negotiating settlements with opposing counsel and clients
- Reporting to firm management.
Qualifications :
- California Bar License
- At least five years of recent California litigation experience
- Strong interest in the firm's practice areas (Real Estate / Business / Civil Litigation)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Commitment to ethical practice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
- Values high quality work and intellectual curiosity

Location :
Attorneys can work remotely from home, or from a nearby office in Sacramento.
